Colt first catalogued their 'branded' handcuffs in 1971 and the price was $14.25. The first issues had the key hole centered on the cuff body - there was a second series produced in 1974, which had an off-set key hole. Colt 'branded' the cuffs made by 'Guardian'. In 2021 these handcuffs sell for $400.
The set of Colt handcuffs below are the second issue, c.1974, which have the key hole off-set to the side instead of in the center. The box is factory Colt, but the SN on the box end is different from the cuffs. |
